About

I am a web developer, journalist and IT student from Oslo, Norway. I have been working with making web sites for close to a decade, and have long experience handling both customers, exciting projects and boring projects. Since age 13 I have been playing with everything from HTML and CSS to PHP and Java. This has left me with an enormous skill set that you can now take advantage of, while putting me through school. That’s a win-win situation if I’ve ever heard of one.

Besides web sites, I am also pretty skilled in the art of journalism. Through my job as the executive editor for FotballMagasinet, published in large quantities through the Norwegian newspaper BT, I wrote a lot of articles about the soccer team Løv-Ham and their sponsors. In addition, I have been working freelance for Scandinavia’s largest urban culture magazine KingSize.

On a more personal level, I love to travel, make music and do all the crazy stuff my friends tell me not to. I bet there’s not a lot of web designers that has jumped off buildings, performed his own songs in front of hundreds of people or been on several student exchange programs in his life. I’m not saying that being a dare devil helps me as a web developer, but you can be sure that I won’t back down from a challenge.

Why Sweetwater?

A lot of people have asked me about my company’s name. Why Sweetwater? Well, it’s all really simple. When I was 12 years old, I had my first “serious” conversation with my dad – not about bumble bees, flowers and sex, but about what I wanted to do with my life. My father had always been a huge influence to me, so when he told me “son, when you grow up and start your own company, call it Sweetwater”, it stuck with me. 11 years later, I find myself wearing the Sweetwater name proudly as my brand.

Sweetwater means that I can create fluid and sweet designs, that will suit my client’s needs in any way they feel like. It is also a throwback to my own upbringing and to my inspirations. And let’s be honest, working with my passion is pretty sweet, huh?
